Canada’s Express Entry system manages the electronic profile of candidates for the country’s three primary economic class immigration program’s i.e. the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

Under Express Entry candidates are ranked based on Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) that consider factors such as education, language ability in English or French, age, skilled work experience etc.

Any number of the highest ranked candidates receives an invitation to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence through regular draws from the Express Entry pool and Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) generally aims to process the application for permanent visa within six months.

The latest draw brings the total ITA issued in 2020 to 38,200. Despite the fact that IRCC has made major changes since March 18th due to coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the Express Entry system remained operational and candidates continues to submit their profile.

Over the last 9 weeks the IRCC has held ten Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee draws inviting approximately 19,500 Express Entry profiles to apply for Permanent Resident Visa.

Additionally, various provinces continues to hold frequent draws as well through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP’s).
